The applications for gym leaders are coming in at a decent pace. I'm going to put all the info in a new page so we don't pollute the main page of the blog with all this pokemon.
Per the chat I'm holding a vote for what type of gym I should run. I am to bais toward certain types. For sure at this moment flying, water, fire, ground, poison are applied for and taken so don't vote for one of those.
Again I'll have all the relevant info in an organized manner soon.

Talk has been circulating about a Vinecraft pokemon league. If this is something you'd be interested in feel free to let me know or e-mail vinecraft@gmail.com with your ideas. Since not everyone has a Nintendo DS we will be playing on pokemon lab. http://trac.poke-lab.com/
The original idea was to have the streamers be the gyms and the elite four but since there is no guarantee that any of the streamers will be any good I am taking apps for the gyms. Again, email the vinecraft email account, tell me your chat handle and what TYPE of gym you'd want to play as. People applying for the same element may have to fight over who gets the seat for the first season.
The league will divided up into seasons so more than just one person will have the opportunity to be gym leaders. How the gym leaders will be changed out will also likely be settled by battle.
A challenger will have to defeat all gym leaders (best 2 of 3) and Then the elite four. They can attempt gyms as many times as they want. Elite four must be completed in order without loss. The elite four is single elimination so one loss and your back to the start but only takes one win to fight next in line. If you possess all badges and beat elite four you will be crowned the League Champion. When the next person beats elite four they will then have to beat The League Champion. If all 5 battles are won in order without loss they become the new champion.
Gym leaders and challengers will have register teams which they cannot change untill the season is over or they forfeit all their badges. More info on this will be announced later.
Rules as of now are:
1. no uber tier pokemon (reference this: http://www.smogon.com/dp/tiers/)
2. Species clause (Only one of any species of pokemon)
3. Sleep Clause (Only one pokemon may be asleep at one time, the game automatically makes other attempt fail)
4. Freeze Clause (Same as Sleep but with frozen solid effect)
5. Evasion clause (Can't use any item/move that raises evasion)
6. Soul dew clause (can't use soul dew)
7. OHKO clause (No moves like fissure etc...)
Feel free to practice up while the rules are being hammered out. IF glueguy is on the server you can ask him to tp you to the Pokemon world in our smp. It isn't anything fantastic but talk is circulating about building an entire RP pokemon world complete with gyms.

For now the stream list has been largely abolished. Unless proven I need to, at this point in time I won't have a list of games that are allowed and not allowed to be played. This is a creative stream first and foremost. What is allowed to be streamed is going to be a bit open for interpretation. Which means I'm going to be a bit lenient.
What will be streamed? Minecraft for one. Crazy buildings in dorf fort, level making, game creating, song remixing, drawing. Pretty much what we have been doing but if someone comes up with a great idea and it fits right in with our creative themed stream then great, load it up.
Try not to make the stretch too far though, making characters in an mmo isn't quite considered a quality design stream.

The vinebro's server is going to be free to play from this point foreward (Or at least as long as I'm admin) We are going to run the server entirely off voluntary donations. I will be posting a new donation link in the near future but we have already received enough generous donations that the server is fine for a while.

A new age has begun
I'm sure you have heard by now that Adventure has stepped down as an admin for Vinecraft. I am very sorry to see it come down to this and will sorely miss him. Since Adventure was in large running the whole site, on the announcement that he was stepping down, there have been rumors that Vinecraft will be shutting down. I assure you that as far as I'm concerned this is not the case. I will be working very hard over the next few weeks overhauling Vinecraft and doing my best to do what is best for the stream as a site and a community of like minded gamers and friends.

The war on the smp server has begun
GLORIOUS NEWS FROM THE REVOLUTIONARY FRONT!
The Counter Cabby Revolutionary Front Newspaper
Our story begins in the City of Mynyyd Dinas, formerly CABBYTOPIA! Oh, my dear readers, this title was revoked when the foul Babby took control over the city under the title of Warden under the absence of the High Council of Elders.
Diamonds were stolen! Cast into flame! Until I, dear readers, the glorious revolutionary leader EHS SHAMAN stepped forth into the blackest night to oppose his foul rule. With a base established deep within the Tundra the Counter-Cabby Revolutionary Front was founded.
When we pushed, Cabby pushed back. He seized public property and filled the city with his DAMNED propaganda. A wooden tower was erected in his honor. The words inscribed at the base were these: “AS LONG AS THIS TOWER STANDS, CABBY'S RULE SHALL BE ABSOLUTE”.
Mockery of the CCRF! Blades in hand and heart, we took to the streets, burning and destroying the tower. Humiliated, Cabby left... but not for long.
TOMORROW is the day of the GLORIOUS BATTLE OF MYNYYD DINAS! Fight for the tarnished empire on the side of the CCRF and in turn, the nobility. All soldiers who pledge their loyalty to the Revolution will be given plots of land in the newly founded suburban district and honorary Citizen of the Empire of Mynyyd status.
AGAINST ALL TYRANTS!

At around 10 pm on February 19 Cabby, the beloved person established himself as the All knowing and loved "dictator". He ruled with a loving iron fist, and those who tried to back away from his love and didn't pay the Happy Taxes were executed with love in public. The demonic CCRF (Counter Cabby Revolutionary Front) Tried to take down Cabby with hateful propaganda, to counter Cabby's lovely propaganda of goodness. These hateful people, around 10:30 then attacked the Great Cabby aided by the CCRF "Brains", Shaman, and the brawn, Ods25. Cabby then fled to his summer home of Dorf Fortia, where he waits for re-enforcements and gathers his weapons. NOW HE WANTS YOU TO JOIN THE Peoples Republic of Cabby to take back the City formally known as Cabbytopia now Mynyyd Dinas. Don't destroy the city we are trying to capture, WE NEED IT IN ONE PEICE.

Expedition - Sailing rogue-like set in the 15th century. a little like dwarf fort in that
its a town creator as well.
IVAN - standard rogue-like that is as brutal in difficulty as it is in addictiveness. i
sometimes wish i had heroin to turn to instead of this game.
NetHack - if you haven't played this, or even heard of this rogue-like, prepare to change
your undergarments. i can't think of a more quintessential rogue-like. this is a classic.
POWDER - GBA rogue-like ported to the pc. not the best but certainly the easiest to
understand and play. even more fun when played on an actually hand-held.
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup - its an open source rogue-like that has a couple things
going for it. 1.) you can play this online 2.) its has crazy depth. there is literally too
much to this game to explain here. its good and arguably the best just take my word
for it.
Tales of Maj'Eyal - is a tolkien inspired rogue-like that is actually graphical. its flashy
and the combat is enjoyable. not the most original rogue-like but it will keep you preoccupied
for quite a while.
Transcendence - a spaceship rogue-like. you travel the galaxy and try to survive. prepare
to have withdrawals when not playing this game. violent withdrawals. if i could survive off
playing two games for the rest of my life it would be Transcendence and Dwarf Fortress.
